    A friend stopped at a pay-at-the-pump gas station to get gas. Once she filled her gas tank and after paying at the pump and starting to leave, the voice of the attendant inside came over the speaker. He told her that something happened with her card and that she needed to come

    inside to pay. The lady was confused because the transaction showed complete and approved. She relayed that to him and was getting ready to leave but the attendant, once again, urged her to come in to pay or there'd be trouble. She proceeded to go inside and started arguing with the attendant about his threat. He told her to calm down and listen carefully:

    He said that while she was pumping gas, a guy slipped into the back seat of her car on the other side and the attendant had already called the police.

    She became frightened and looked out in time to see her car door open and the guy slip out. The report is that the new gang initiation thing is to bring back a woman and/or her car. One way they are doing this is crawling under women's cars while they're pumping gas or at grocery stores in the nighttime. The other way is slipping into unattended cars and kidnapping the women.

    Please pass this on to other women, young and old alike. Be extra

    careful going to and from your car at night. If at all possible, don't go alone!
    This is real!!

    The message:

    1. ALWAYS lock your car doors, even if you're gone for just a second!

    2. Check underneath your car when approaching it for reentry, and check in the back before getting in.

    3. Always be aware of

    your surroundings and of other individuals in your general vicinity, particularly at night!

    Send this to everyone so your friends can take precaution.

    Yes it is urban legend but I wouldn't take it lightly, my wife was grabbed in a parking lot in the middle of the night. Luckily she is a martial arts instructor and released his hold and threw him one way while she moved the other.

    Always lock your cars, look inside and generally be aware of your surroundings, you should never be to busy to a quick check.

    Though it is myth... I always lock my doors if I am not personally inside the vehicle.. even when pumping gas, I lock the doors.

    i remember you posting about that otto!

    i always walk around the back of my car and peek before actually getting in it, i am a chicken though :) so i always thought that was why i did it :) dont like dark cars...

    Something similar to this is that criminals will watch for people to go inside to pay for gas and then steal stuff out of their car if it's unlocked.

    Most people think "I'll only be inside for a minute". A car thief can take your car in less than 30 seconds. Stealing stuff from your car even less.

    Always lock the car.

    And if your state allows, get licensed to carry a firearm.

    Remember...Criminals prefer unarmed victims.

    And as they say on "The X-Files", Trust no one. Or is it noone...that one always gets me...which one is it?!?!?! You could tell me...but are you to be trusted?!?! ehhehehhe

    Anyway, you get the idea.

    It's a warzone out there...be prepared and make sure you aren't a statistic of the bad variation. Try to be on the "Thwarted asshat's intentions" statistical list.

    my ma is licensed to carry a concealed weapon....which she does carry...she also owns about 5 different kinds of hand guns..(she prefers her pearl handled one...i have no idea what kind it is but it has a clip...to her magnum...takes up too much space in her purse she says)...all of which she is pretty proficient in...some were gifts..some were my fathers...she also knows how to load and fire and old school musket muzzle loader or whatever those are...the rag and shot kind...she doesn't care much for her uzi...says its a waste of bullets and is shitty as far as accuracy goes...i remind her that its not really made for its accuracy...i don't really worry about my mom...i worry about whoever tries to steal her stuff....for 65...my mom kicks some serious ass....
