Interested in the CDL

Hi guys..

After denying the infomercial style recruitment of many outfits on Emerald, I'd like to find a place in PS to belong; without feeling like I'm merely contributing to someone's population count.. I remember the CDL from beta, and even from Tribes, believe it or not.. I like what you guys stand for, and want to find an organized group of players to enjoy PS with.

I'm under the playername 5DVAsp on Emerald, and have worn most of the possible hats you can in the game. At the moment, I've got a bit of a heavy assault motif going with SA and AV, with Air Cav and CE to round it out.. I like piloting and would be interested in taking up some galaxy duty, as you just don't see enough of them flying around anymore.. Other non-grunt roles I'm proficient in would be Prowler driving and supressing enemy air in a Burster..

For the curious, 5DV is basically a tag used by friends of mine local to me, that all play FPS's.. Not a clan, just an identity we all chose to work together under.. When they wanted to give PS a try it was just easier for us all to find each other if we knew we'd have the same (or similar) tag..

So could I send a /tell to someone in game to squad up, see if I'm a player you'd like to give a recruitment opportunity to? If so should I be looking for anyone in particular? Thronebeast? etc?

I've been on pretty regularly the last few weeks, so I'll be sure to look you guys up if that's ok..

Loads of fun last night..

Didn't know the CDL had a "shwa" contingent.. Nice to see locals around here..

Well, it was certainly the experience I was looking for playing with you guys last night.. No concern for the BEP at the end of the night, or even the state of the server.. Just focussing on having fun doing the job, performing the mission, working together..

I'll keep my air support cert in place of my reaver/mosq, in the hopes that Peacemaker can someday teach me how to cartwheel a galaxy like he did last night..
I've tried, but I can't quite replicate it with the flair and style he did..

I do remember Manitou (i think it was him) telling me to inquire or PM someone about being able to see the recruit forum? That way its possible to participate in future organized events/raids you guys might have in mind.. I'm not sure who I should PM about that, but if someone could point me in the right direction it'd be appreciated..

Redeyes had a lot of fun too last night.. I've pointed him towards the website and forums, so he should make a post or two shortly.. I'm thinking he had trouble with his DSL last night (it goes berserk on him when somone picks up the phone), which caused him to drop prematurely.. He's originally from Whitby, so there's another local for some of you..
