For those of you who are gun owner advocates, this should light your fire. Evidently the toll booth people need protecting from something. Funny thing is, San Francisco has outlawed personal gun ownership as of 1 November. So who are they protecting the toll booth people from if guns are illegal?

That just PROVES the point that making guns illegal isn't going to stop the criminals.

If these people had anything resembling common sense they would realize having law-abiding citizens armed would make it much less likely an idiot would try to rob a toll booth.

Besides, is toll booth robbery that much of an issue? I would think a convenience store would have more cash on hand.

"The spokeswoman said the Golden Gate Bridge is typically a friendly environment for toll takers, with some motorists giving them gifts of chocolates or flowers during the winter holiday season."

I hope someone gives them tainted chocolates or flowers. That'll keep them on their toes.
