Just saw Xmen III

Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by KickedOut, 29 May 2006.

  1. Stayed to watch the end credits it then dawned on me how many excessive roles they have in movies.

Anyone here catch the end short clip after credits, let me know what it means.

Don't want to give away any blatent spoliers..... but earlier in the film one of the xmen talks about transferring consciousness into a different body.... you do the math :)

Think that is the scene you are talking about, right?

  3. SPOILER WARNING

If you remember towards the beginning of the movie, Prof. Xavier is teaching the students about transferring conciousness. Remember the video on TV? Well, remember the woman in the front of the screen that talks about it? That's who the woman is at the end of the credits, the one Charles talks to. He ain't dead, dorothy, but he sure ain't in kansas neither.

Damn. I got up and left when the credits started rolling.

I may have to take back my alternate title then. "X-Men: Everybody Dies"

    ***SPOILER WARNING****

Yes, a few key characters die in the movie from what you can deduce. But, we now know Prof X is alive and well in the form of a man who was in a vegatative state, we never saw Cyclops die (only speculation), and on that part the only important character we have seen "killed" was Jean Grey (Pheonix), and she was thought to have been killed before, so I dont suspect we will see the last of her. Therefore it is my theory that we will see the major characters back in action, I mean we have to have the "Ultimate" Villian Apocalypse eventually play a role, and to do so we need all of the X-Men to fight him.:)

This was the best of the X men movies in my opinion. Loved the dichotomies. It seemed they had too many philosophical ideas to cover them all well.

The cure and the instrument used to administer it...that one was beautiful.

  7. I went and saw it last night at the Drive In - (I saw An American Haunting as well. I don't recommend)

I liked it, I stayed for the credits and it made sense. Does this mean there will be a fourth? I know they've already slated Hugh Jackman to have his own Wolverine movie (coming out in '08) - I guess it's about his beginnings and how he came to his adamantium exoskeleton.

So does this mean the "cure" will wear off after time? What if Rogue is making out with Bobby and she kills him? That'd be a great start to the fourth movie.

I was half hoping Magneto's mutants would win this war. I realize that they try and keep these movies to "three's" but it's always a great set-up for the next movie (see "Empire Strikes Back") when evil evens the score or at least gives you the legitimate feeling of not being able to tell which way the writers are going to go.

I honestly liked the second one better. I thought Wolverine was meaner and gorier in that one, his killing strokes were a little to cartoony for me in this latest one. Too much Storm in this one I'm afraid (or maybe it's just personal annoyance that Halle Barry got her way after having a hissy fit after the second one because her character was not part of the main plot)

The second movie proved one thing to me; never, EVER trust Wolverine with children. Even in the comic books he has really bad luck when babysitting....

I'm going to go see it sometime this week.

Wolverine is my fave. He's the most complex and torn character.

Though the movies never dealt with it, there's always Archangel. My second favorite Xman. First being Nightcrawler.

  11. Nightcrawler is my favorite as well. I was so angry when I found out they weren't going to have him in the third movie and even angrier when I found out why.......if we have Beast, Mystique, and Nightcrawler we'll have to many blue characters. What a crock of shit. :rawr:
