  1. PC Gamer finally reviewed Line of Sight: Vietnam

Page 70 is the Vietcong game and then page 71 is Line of Sight.

    Here's the results:

The latest issue of PC Gamer has side-by-side reviews of our title, “Line Of Sight: Vietnam”, and Gathering Of Developer’s big-budget game, “Viet Cong”. The reviews can be found on pages 70 and 71 if anyone wants to look.

“Line Of Sight: Vietnam” scored higher (73% to 70%) and was definitely better received by PC Gamer than Viet Cong when you read through the text. Here are some of the highlights from the “Line OF Sight: Vietnam” review:

“In the PC jungle, the target is fun- and this game zeroes in on it.”
“A surprising amount of detail is packed into this well-made package.”
“LOS’s 3D engine gets kudos for rivaling those mainstream (i.e. big-budget) titles.”
Atmosphere rules the roost, and you’ll dig the way plants shimmy in the wind, dust swirls beneath chopper blades, and raindrops slap the ground.”
“For a budget title, LOS delivers an impressive array of multiplayer options.”
“If you like budget entertainment with spit and polish, you’ll be hard pressed to find as much value for $30 anywhere else.”

The Viet Cong review in comparison talks about how the game is “painfully slow” and “saddled with sluggish scripted events” that ruin the gaming experience. The conclusion says “Viet Cong satisfies as a polished-looking shooter, but needs a more energetic design.”
