Looking to get involved in BF2

    Hi...my name is Mike, I've been gaming online since back before Jedi Knight hit the shelves. Most of my gaming has been with a clan called FOG of which current CDL people Smash, Wraith, and Pweor were members.

    I have played a LOT of games over the years, the major FPS that I have played being Jedi Knight and Tribes. In Tribes I played Insomniax mod for a long time (which is where I first met and played with/against CDL). I also moved on to Base and played on several top-tier teams including North$tar and Trademark which both made it to the #1 position on the major Tribes ladders.

    I've reserved BF2 and am very interested in playing it competitively. Wraith mentioned to me that CDL is going to have a BF2 division and I've always played that type of game with him, so I figured I'd see if I could get involved.

    Let me know if there is anything else you need to know. I think Smash, Wraith, or Pweor could vouch that I'd be a good fit for CDL.

    If the game pans out to be as good(IE stable and no issues) then we will be looking at the size and number of teams we will field. Goodluck on the process and Lets hope the game really does live up to the potential.

    Like ShadowSpawn said, the potential of BF2 with us is enormous. Let us hope it lives up to the hype and that there are no MAJOR gameplay issues.

    Thanks guys. And yeah, I do remember the name K-Sera. IX was a long time ago, but it was a small community so I run into people often. It's a small world :)

    Looking forward to playing some BF2. Hopefully the demo will be out this week.

    Unofficial reports state that the demo will be available on Friday of this week. Once we get confirmation I'll post it up here for new BF2 Recruits to view and our server info as well.

    There was no demo to download after last nights dev interview. Once we get ahold of it we'll mirror it over here for all potential recruits to download. We expect a high turnout once the demo is released. Stay glued to this thread as more information becomes available.

    Demo is released. Looks like Gamecenter wasn't ready to go live (new service tied to Gamespot) so they've just got some normal direct connections going. I'm getting it around 44kb

    Yeah, we've got multiple people across 2 gaming clans right now downloading it. Unfortunately I won't be able to do much as I work weekend nights. Hamma is going to upload the demo and, once that is done, others can then download it without waiting 5 hours for it to finish.

    Can't wait to see you in game Adrenaline!

    Hmm, who are you, Adrenaline? :p

    Adrenaline would be a good choice if you were looking for the following qualities:
    AFK most of the time with no away message
    Random homosexual tendencies
    Someone to mooch a server off of
    :D

    I am having a blast playing BF2, I can't wait until the full version comes out.
    The squad/commander system is pretty sweet.

    A. AFK most of the time with no away message
    That's ok. I often have either laundry or fixing dinner when I game. Some may accuse me of being AFK from my brain. Of course those people get shot.

    B. Random homosexual tendancies

    I woudn't consider it mooching if I sent him some of my wifes good old fashioned Italian cooking. :lol:
