<Me begin rant>

I have been playing for only 2 days, but I can tell that the Xpack is killing the community, mainly because people don't want to spend even more on the game and also that the new content isn't worth the money. The fact that SOE is shoving it down everyone?s throats makes it less appealing IMO.

 

The only ones I see crying about core combat are already crying about anything and everything anyhow. In which case, the only way to shut them up would be to never look at a message board again.

I honestly do not see how you can call the changes to the striker and pounder a nurf. Unless you count lack of skill as part of the equation... *shrug and points at the whiners*

...My Prowler dosen't kill everyone in the frist shot and I don't have any god mode cheats!...

 

YAY striker nerf....Now maybe some people might drop it and pick up the prowler. The main reason we ever get pushed of the continent is our lack of tanks. We have some lightings around and some prowlers here and there but have we ever had like 15-20 prowlers in the same place?? Not to my knowledge. We have hundreds of strikers but only 5-10 tanks max at a battle. This makes it really hard when 15-20 vanguards show up in the same formation.

Oh and the pounder.....not nerfed at all. its damage is down but it now fires insanely fast....less grief...less killing your own self when people get close.

I'm sorry but the balance pass in my opinion is the best thing to happen to TR.

 

Oh, I thought that I read that you had to buy CC in order to play PS, but you do know a lot more about PS in general then I so I'll take your word for it.

 

Nope just in order to play in the caverns. I believe (hamma, correct me if I'm wrong) you can even use the weapons and vehicles from CC even if you don't buy it....just cant go into the caverns.

 

Thats cool that you can play with xpackers and use the same stuff. Though I don't think I would want to spend 30 bucks or whatever it is just so I can kill people underground instead of on the top side.

P.S. I was wondering do you guys have planned raiding party times? I have been in a few and it was quite a lot of fun.

 

Well, like I was ranting about on TS the other day, I'm still not entirely convinced that the Striker nerf is necessary. IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING HARD TO DODGE STRIKER MISSILES. They go slower than a pilot can afterburn, and you lose lock the second you duck behind a hill or something. Not to mention the fact that at least half of the 100+ Reaver kills I have on my Konried character (mostly using the Striker) were sitting fucking still when I started shooting. If you sit still I'm going to fucking kill you, whining NC/VS morons. And hell, sometimes a Reaver is still nimble enough to get away from me when I start ramming missiles up their rear end.

*sigh* I'm just worried that the Striker nerf is because people are too lazy to deal with it and not because it's actually overpowered.

And speaking of access to PS forums... *goes into Bambi-eye mode and points to the PS forums* Pweaze?

Yeah a little but it will just need a little bit more skill than usual. oh and the crackhammer is getting a slight nerf as well. I have played the test server and it is noticable. I also played the pounder and it is good fun....Fires like the burster just arched . It on the plus side doesn't pwn itself as bad right now when someone runs close but does require more of a direct shot(not just spam). I like it.

Have you played the lightning or the prowler yet...there was a momentum problem with the lightning that is going to be fixed but other than that both the lightning and prowler ROXOR.

And one final bonus is that the MCG will now fire as if your were crouched at all times...no matter if you are crouched or not. So we got a big range effectiveness boost on our MCG.

IMO balance pass = PWNAGE
