I thought by getting my stuff from someone with a decent rep, I would be saving myself a lot of trouble.

So far this fiasco has cost me $120 cash and $4K locked up.

They double charged me on a computer order. Still haven't refunded the money after more than a week. Has me -$1200 in my checking account and I've got $120 of bank fees that they told me I can eat.

If you are looking for incompentence in motion, these are the guys for you.

I knew I should have built my own system. Which I will one of these days when either legal action gets my money back or they realize I am owed it.

Wow, had I known you were shopping around I'd have thrown you over to Newegg. Best Online company EVAR!

<3 Newegg. Unless I desperately need something like today, I always order through them. The only glitch I ever got from them was a non working Power Supply. Easily sent in an RMA request, and it was accepted within the hour! Credited my account. Went with a different P/S with free shipping to boot!

New Egg didn't have my mobo. In hindsight, I would have lived with a Fatal1ty SLI.

  6. Agreed. Newegg has never done me wrong in the past.

I had an issue once where my motherboard was defective and I had a new one in my hands in less than a week.

I use outpost/fry's a lot and haven't had any troubles. Usually however I go to a local show at a college that way if something is wrong I can go to the store that was at the show right here in the area and fight with them if something is wrong.

  8. my dad has something like that happen to him before and the company went bankrupt. He never saw the money again, nor the system.

  9. Sorry to hear that Broken. I would try going to your bank (the main branch, if possible) and speaking to the branch manager. Be very polite and explain the entire problem to him. Bring paperwork (organized), if possible, and try to work out a solution. In the very least, try to get the bank to reimburse half the bank fees.

  10. I agree that Newegg is one of the best but I also find that Pagecomputers.com is sometimes better than Newegg on pricing and I have never had a problem with them. I use them for almost all my orders for work. I would say 70% of what I purchase comes from them and the other 30% from Newegg. It just depends on who has the item I need at a cheaper price.

Heh, they refered me to their legal department when I asked them to reimburse me for my $120.

I work for a company whose products, when used incorrectly, will kill you deader than Elvis. (Nothing I hate worse than getting someone from legal in my office saying "Can you pull the images off this floppy?")

I carboned their legal eagles with everything. Knowing that any decent corp attorney will take the "WTF are you morons doing???". I also carboned the legals with the "Cancel all my orders" message.

2 hours later... my first round of money pops up in my account. According to my bank, that was when they actually did it. (Not days earlier like they claimed)

Moral, Tusk defends his money harder than a capped flag.

  16. Good for you! :)

  17. Congratulations!!! I'm glad it worked out.

Sorta worked out. They still owe me $2,300 that they are taking their own sweet time with.

So of course, I had to ask their local DA if they knew of any fraud cases involving Monarch. Nothing says "Oh crap" faster than a call from the DA. ANd hopefully they will think it is a crank call. Having a couple officers stroll in and start asking questions would be cherry.
