Most fortunate cookie

I celebrated a friend's Birthday today at a Chinese restaurant with a group of potters. We hang together for studio time and birthdays.

At the end of this meal the waitress threw a huge pile of fortune cookies in the middle of the table. Lady potters are apparently quite particular about their fortunes because they groped and rejected and smashed and picked out their most favorite cookies of all in the pile. It was like being at a wedding full of angry bridesmaids when the boquet is tossed...omg.

One friend read one one that said, "you have a generous heart and are giving to others. You will be rewarded."

...so fitting for her, I thought.

Another friend read, "Big things are yet to come in your future", and I knew that was right on.

one partly crumbled reject of a fortune cookie fell to the corner of the pile and as I saw the smashed cracks in it through its delicate cellophane wrapper, I knew it was the one for me so I grabbed it and opened it.

I tore its wrapper apart and pulled out its bounty and read "The truth is always greeted in three stages.
1. Ridicule.
2. Violent opposition. ..."

...and the third stage wasn't listed.

hilariously fitting.

Sterling, we did that "in bed" thing with ours too! It was pretty funny.

Hamma's makes him sound like a prostitute when you do that. Interesting.
