As most of you know, my father was very close to me. When he passed away 2 years ago a hole had opened in my heart. I had a huge post here that I wrote about my father and how close he was to me. Well, today I celebrate his 59th birthday. Why have a celebration for someone who has passed on? Because, his spirit is forever with me and my family. He is a part of my life still. I can hear him while I'm fixing stuff around the house, I can see it in the way I walk sometimes, talk sometimes, act sometimes. As much as I didn't want to be my father growing up, I am becoming more and more like him.

    I love you Dad.

  7. Below is one of the 11th hour toasts performed by the Elks club. I have paraphrased it for the usage of -CDL-. It seems fitting given the content of this message thread.

    **-**-**-**-

    Eleven O’clock Toast
    …adapted for –CDL–

You have heard the tolling of 11 strokes.

A reminder that within the -CDL-, the eleventh hour brings forth tender significance.

Wherever a Dragonwolf may roam, whatever their lot in life may be, upon this tolling of the bells, the great heart of each swells and throbs in remembrance.

'Tis our golden hour of recollection, the homecoming of our brethren who wander, and the mystic roll call of those who shall attend no more.

Living or dead, a Dragonwolf is never forgotten, never forsaken.

Morning and noon may pass him by, the light of day sink heedlessly in the West, but ere the shadows of midnight shall fall, we shall fill their empty chalices, and raise ours in toast as the chimes of memory pealing forth the message-

    "To our absent members."
