    Check this out!
    This bear was killed by an airman from Elmendorf on Hitchenbrook Island. The bear stood 12'6" and estimated over 1600lbs. The airman was walking to his hunting area and the bear stood up only 35 yards away. The bear dropped down and charged straight for the Airman. He unloaded his gun and the bear fell 10 yards from him.

    Holy Crap!!

    Talk about wetting your pants, I've got some good hunting stories too. Maybe I'll tell you some. I should post a picture of ma Zebra. Nice big one, not scary like bears but they do make a nice rug :D

    Grizzley Bears, and Kodiac bears get that big.

    Hell even a little bear scares me (little as in black bears we have in California). They stand about 8 foot tall and get around 800 - 1000 pounds. One time when I was camping in the Sierra's we went in to town one morning to get some breakfast (we were camping about 1 mile down the road from Downieville) and right in the middle of the street was a Black Bear. He didn't charge us or anything, but it still scares the hell out of you to see a bear 30 feet from you in the middle of the street!!

    I've come across Mt Lion tracks when I was phesent hunting, but I don't know if they were fresh or not.

    Never saw the Lion though.
