New addition to the family

I originally had the Barton that was a step lower than that but I've read many reviews stating there was little to no difference, even a couple that stated that the Barton 2800+ performed lower in real world tests. With the jump in speed I'm making, I don't think I'd even be able to tell the difference. Thanks for the concern though. :)

    the last wus unexpected but i had ishuse whith the onbord sound.i havint reaplased my GF2 MX400 yet but i plan to this sommer whith anything thats AGP8.i will also reaplased my HD some time when i have mony agen..:)

  7. You guys are probably going to want at least a gig of RAM. Things could certainly change, but the way planetside pre-loads, the more RAM the better.

    I got 2 gig of ram (was going for 4 but 1 gig dimms are outrageous!)

    Since XP is based on NT platform we know that more memmory the more it uses!

    The 9700 Pro AIW will rock though!!! (I have an 8500 but that will be moved to my wife's machine)
