Northeaster we only got 17 inches here

    New York and Boston suppose to get Blizzard conditions, we only got 17 inches but the huskies love it!

    Bah. Real men relish the continuous challenge of keeping driveways clean, keeping cars clean and keeping warm while shoveling 20"+.

    We only got 3" in Albany.

    Snow is fun when it first falls pure white and powdery. Week old snow that melts to slush, then ice, is dirty brown and nasty, gets into your boots and soaks your socks, and hangs off your car like dingleberries isn't quite as pleasant.

    Snow that piles up so high you can't see out of your sliding glass door is cool, till you open the door and your mom yells at you for filling the livingroom with snow.

    Melting snow under a ski lift in July trickles as it forms little streams under the top crust. It's extrordinary and a great way for a kid to get rich off all the change that fell out of the pockets of skiiers on the lift.

    Im happy to live in central texas where it lightly snows maybe once every 10-12 years. And when I say lightly I mean it. If it snows in the morning its melted by that afternoon.
