Wasn't sure I could make it to this, but it looks like I can.

I am going to Ohioans For Concealed Carry's Party in the Park this Saturday, the 29th, where the Keynote Speaker is none other than Ohio's Governor Ted Strickland.

For anyone who can make it, it is at Liberty Park (imagine that!!) at the corner of Liberty Rd and Home Rd in Powell Ohio (Delaware County, north of Columbus). It's free, but if you want to get into the raffle the food tickets are $14/person or $25/couple. That gets you food from a nice caterer (BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs) and entered into the raffle.

Nice prizes, and the big prize is a handgun!!!

    Others include..

"Front Sight Firearms Training Institute has donated a certificate good for free enrollment in one of six different training seminars. This certificate could be worth up to $2000 depending on your choice of which course."

"Our latest prize has arrived as a generous donation of Roy Cardone (RoyC on the forum). It is a V-Line Desk Mate mountable gun safe. You can view it here:

    http://www.vlineind.com/html/desk_mate.html "

"We have more prizes to add :

    Pistol Cleaning Kits (2)
    Bore Light
    SureFire Flash Lights (2)
    Gun Cleaning Aerosol Combo Pack
    Eye Protection
    Ear Protection
    Cleaning Pad
Small Pistol Safe Locking Box "

"We just received a donation from Rivers Edge Cutlery. They were very generous in donating a $30 gift certificate and a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian Tanto, model no. 557SBKOD valued at $82.00. "

"We also just received a group of shirts, jackets, blouses and sweaters with the OFCC logo embroidered on each garment from 66 deuce coup and his very talented and generous wife."

    "1 Pistol Range Bag
    1 Pistol Range Bag Large
    1 Caldwell Bipod
    5 XD Paddle Wheel Holsters
2 Life Jackets AR model (for locking and carrying AR model weapons) "

That is the list so far, taken off of the OFCC site forums.

Anyone who wants to come is most welcome...no gun needed, but encouraged (Open Carry is legal in Ohio WITHOUT a license, just make sure you transport it in your vehicle according to Ohio law...unloaded, must get to it by leaving the vehicle, and ammo far away from the weapon). Know the law before carrying! There will be several carrying open

The media will be there since the Governor will be, so don't make a fool of yourself and your fellow Second Amendment Friends!

Anyway, if any, especially any Ohioans here want to go, please do. Lot's of fun, and lot's of like minded individuals. And hey, OUR Governor will be there!! If HE is not afraid (granted, he has a security detail) then you shouldn't be either, as YOU have a security detail...the rest of us!!

Besides, you should have your security strapped to your belt!

It will be fun. I'm going to video tape as much as I can. Especially if there are hot chicks!! heheheheheh

I will take my camera also.

Come on Ohio, show your support for the Second Amendment!! If we are civil enough the media won't even mention it in the back pages of their rags!! Let's see if we can get that to happen...no mention of it. Then we will KNOW who the media is for!

Cocked, Locked, and ready to eat a hamburger!!
