  1. Yea - I'd seen The Anikan one a while back, but the other one is new to me.

I heard a rumor today that either Lucas or someone else has 3 more Star Wars movies in the planning stages. No hard info yet.

  5. The Star Wars Debate
Look Sent..Lucas shoulda stopped at A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Yea I said it...those were movies that defined my childhood...and when I view them today...they still stand the test of time. I look at those movies like my Grandmother (God rest her soul) looked at Casablanca and The Wizard of Oz.

The Phantom Menace..ehh it was okay.. I dug the Sith...but I figured out that *EDIT- possible spoiler* was the Emperor. Attack of the Clones...Meh...that dude that played Anakin annoyed me...yes he did..he was annoying to the point of me clicking the channel. Where Mark Hamill made his whiney character...that dude buried his. He was horrible...horrible! Everytime I watch that movie I get so mad that George Lucas picked that dude. He had to have seen the "dailies"...he must have known that kid wasn't pulling his weight...I'da scrapped that kid long ago.

Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher made those 4th, 5th and 6th movies....if you really break down the dialog that happened in the first few movies...they are dry as HELL! The three aforementioned actors are what made George Lucas and his "vision" what they are.

Obviously the movies you are refering to are the 7th, 8th, and 9th...Post Jedi. Well I tell ya...he should leave well enough alone. Well enough alone!!

  6. So did I Sent.

    Here's the funny thing:
Lucas made everyone at ILM sign NDA's about Episodes 7 through 9. If he's stated he's not going to film any more SW movies then why make your ILM staff sign such documents regarding them??

  7. Casablanca is *still* my favorite movie, I kid you not.

  8. *Sigh*
This is what happens when you mix alcohol and Star Wars.

PumpMonkey I am embarrassed to admit I have not seen Casablanca yet...

To re-iterate my above statement a little more sober like...
I like how the first three movies explain and shape what's to come in 4th, 5th and 6th. I don't like the right in your face approach Lucas is taking...some things I wish he would be a little more subtle about. My opinion of the first three movies relies heavily on the fact that the actor's do not carry the dialogue as well as the previous crew. I am looking forward to the third installment though - Anakin's turn to the dark side & his disfigurement, Unveiling of the emperor, how the control of the Clones plays out, Boba Fett's role, the introduction of Chewbacca, Anakin & Padme's breakup and the hiding of the Twins.

I don't see where they can go after Return of the Jedi.

  9. Easy BD.

    Admiral Thrawn.

  10. Sorry to hear that. I own it on laserdisk, two VHS (one is the 50th anniv. edition) along with a couple other books related to it.

Timothy Zahn was authorized to write the 'offical' books that took place after Jedi. I never read those as the couple of books of Mr. Zahn's that I had read did not impress me.
    (shrugs)

    You know....If I had a digital camera, I could...errr...never mind.
