Packaging Imbicility

Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by Aeternus, 3 Jun 2006.

  1. I just got a package in today. I had ordered a few items to set up my case fans to a fan controller. In the package i got in to, i had a few sets of anti-vibration fan mounts, a three-pin power cord extension and the rheobus fan controller. Upon opening the box, if find the antivibration mounts and the cord extender carefully wrapped in several layers of bubblepaper. These items are themselves plastic and rubber, not being very sensitive or expensive(the mounts were 1.24 for a package of 4 and the extension .99$).

The fan controller, on the other hand, was wedged in with both sides meeting the box sides with absolutely no cushioning or protection! Moronic!!! They protect that which does not need it to an excessive degree, and leave the sensitive more expensive part unprotected!

Luckily, there was no immediately apparent damage to the fan controller. I just found the whole situation ridiculous.

  2. My laptop better be shipped in an earthquake-resistant box or I'll be ticked!
