PS2: Our Empire

    So PS2 is coming closer and closer, information on the empires is starting to be revealed. We've discussed changing our empire, so lets reopen the pre beta discussion. This is based on what we find out before beta. That is when we should make up our minds though.

    Personally I am not all that excited about the TR so far. I've always loved the one hit smack down of the NC though. The VS have never really appealed to me other than their AA max.

    No matter what empire is played someone won't be happy and we will all complain about the other two empires. May as well stick to what we know and what the CDL is known for, TR all the way. Plus our new Prowler is the fastest tank on the battlefield and our aircraft is the fastest vehicle in the game, starting off on a good foot.

    To be honest, I think the only reason we would even consider switching empires is because we found ourselves getting eaten by the other team's weapons under certain circumstances (Vanu tanks sniping our Galaxy Gunship is one empire specific instance that makes me cry... as if Vanu needed another AA advantage).

    But the 'up close, but semi-long range, large clip, team-work oriented' hardware of the TR has always suited us as a clan: we can assault a base, hold a hack better and establish a heavy presence on the field (with the necessary skills to do so) because of what we've been dealt as TR.



    Sure.. I like Vanu jump-jets on their MAXes, and who doesn't like that 120mm 'one-shot-kill' on the Vanguard? But as TR we have always been more than one-hit wonders.

    I really don't care. I just wanna see that 30+ DW platoon rolling up and laying waste to whomever we chose. I just wanted to know the general consensus.

    I'm with the heads on this one; as much as I whined about the cool tech of the other empires, there will always be the option of looting or possibly even capturing stuff a la C&C. We should stay with the TR.

    Damn you hamma. I specifically did NOT look at any pictures of that thing for a reason..... I'm TR but that thing is friggen AWESOME looking, and the reaver's positives are quite attractive for a ground attack aircraft. But I prefer to spend more time in the sky shooting down enemy aircraft, so the Mossie which also looks pretty B.A. works better.... I just hope there's away to steal enemy vehicles...... cause yoinking one of these baby's would be a OOOOOOOOOOH so attractive/fun/challenging/entertaining/probably going to result in some hilarious deaths/probably going to result in some 1337 grand-theft-MilitaryClassCombatAircraft omg 6 NC stars!!!!

    It'll be a shame if you cant steal enemy equipment at all.
