  1. I bought an Alienware Area-51 back in 2004 and it has served me perfectly for the past 3 years. Now, its time to gut it and make it wonderful-er. Here's what I'm stickin in her..

    GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 1.3) LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard

    Processor:
    Intel CPU Core 2 Duo E6320 1.86GHz FSB 1066MHz 4M LGA775

    Memory:
    OCZ OCZ2G8002GK 2GB Kit DDR2-800 PC2-6400 Gold Gamer eXtreme XTC Edition Dual Channel Memory

    Video:
    MSI NX8600GTS-T2D256E-OC GeForce 8600 GTS Overclock 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express Video Card w/Dual DVI

    Hard Drive(s):
    Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250620AS 250GB Serial ATA (3.0Gb/s) 7200RPM Hard Drive w/16MB Buffer

    Just thought I'd share and see what y'all think.

    The only thing I'd change is the video card. Get eVGA's flavor of that card. Shouldn't cost you all that much money and enroll in their trade-up program. For 3 months after you purchase your eVGA card they'll buy back your old card if you decide to upgrade to a newer card. I did with mine. Bought a 7900GS for around $180, then bought a 8800GTS for only $120. Had to send in my old 7900GS (so keep your old video (non-eVGA) card you're trading in now til then) and I couldn't be happier.
