1. Is anyone else thinking about picking this one up? I've been following it for the last couple of months, and every description I've read so far makes me want to go pre-order.

  2. Hamma

    Officer
I may give it a whirl.

  3. Sputters

    Sputters DragonWolf
Invisible Shorts
AKA Black DragonWolf

    Indeed

  4. looks awesome

  5. There is a new trailer up on fileplanet. It shows off the physics quite nicely. I suggest everyone go watch it.

  6. holy *bleep* look at all the vehicle and weapons in it. /me approves

  7. DonkeySmiler

DonkeySmiler Eater of Gnomish Persons DragonWolf

    Looks pretty cool......

A concern I have (I'm bored at work so I have nothing better to do than to play the uninformed critic ;) )
is that I hope everyone does not get all bazooka/tank happy and demolish all the buildings within the first couple of minutes in the match. I do like the concept of a totally destructable map, although the visuals do look a tad corny (as seen in the movie), but I imagine it would be extremelly taxing on a system to have it any more detailed.

I will probably give this a try....... well, that is if I don't get into WoW beta! ;)

  8. with this game do u have to purchase weapons via making money with kills and completing objectives whats the deal i just saw in the trailer wepons with money amounts next to it

  9. Ya i agree with Donkey

But if it runs smooth thats half the battle, also do you have to buy weapons and is it like a team fund that build up or is it personal?

    Shads

  10. From what I can glean from the FAQ, it sounds a lot like Savage's fund system, where you have a personal and team fund. If you want to get something that your personal fund can't cover, you have to make a request to the commander.

Oh yeah, and you have to buy your own weapons/vehicles unless you get a teammate to buy it for you.

  11. i hope its easy to gather money ive played a few games that counts on more money for better weapons can be difficult with some usual idiots that are in pubs

  12. Ingwë

    Ingwë DragonWolf
The Goose!

sounds like the system for C&C renegade, which was sort of good, but if you started half-way into a match you were at a great disadvantage because everyone was destroying you with mammoth tanks or orcas.

  13. Hamma

    Hamma Commanding Officer Officer

    Officer
Yea the money thing is the only turnoff.

  14. will create more meaning to life and death. Unlike PS you wont wanna die and will need to work as a squad to keep your money.

  15. I think the money thing helps limit the "whoring" in battles, and games. It will prevent people from camping a certian spawn just waiting for a vehicle, then driving/flying off with it once it spawns. This way, if you can afford it, you spawn it, if not, then there isnt anything else you can do except move on.

  16. Hamma

    Hamma Commanding Officer Officer

    Officer
I earn money in real life, in a game I just want to blow shit up not worry about money. I do that enough :p

And dont compare this to PS its a diff game :p

  17. ORANGE

    ORANGE DragonWolf

^^^ agreed on both points except I don't have a job right now :cries:
