Server Question

    45 semi

    I have been running a little server lately, but since I put in some veh/wep skins files (in my system, not the servers) , the damn thing keeps dropping me. Now, I have noticed when I join a pub it has
    'CRC Checking: Off'
    Does that mean that odd files, such as veh/wep skins, are allowed?
    Is that whats dropping me from my own server?

    crc checking will kick you if you have vehicle or weapon skins.

    you need to change it to off on your server and you should be ok.

    Duh, should have asked this also...
    How do I do that? Is it the 'pure server' button on the 'host' option tab?

    Or do I need an admin program?

    Look in your Tribes2\gamedata\base\prefs directory for a file called serverprefs.cs

    Search this file for a line that says $Host::CRCTextures = 1; (it's a text file)

    Change the 1 to a 0 (Zero) , delete your .dso files and you should be all set.
