  5. well either way......

    AHAHAHAHA

    suckers. :)

now you shall feel thy wrath that I love driving in. :)

Really, nothing helps a turn more at low speeds than liberal use of the ebrake. (a foot ebrake at that.)

Btw, don't try it on dry surfaces, or anything that isn't covered with snow, unless you want to wind up in a ditch, having to pay for a new ride. :p

We get Snow on Mt Hamilton, and Mt Diablo, but never in any of the citys. Once every few years it will snow downtown, but it never sticks.

  13. 5" of snow has fallen in Atlanta...and it's still coming down. I know that prolly isn't a lot for you northern peoplel, but 5 " is the equivalent of 2 feet in the north. Plus, we don't know how to drive in it. This may be my final post, because I am one of those ppl that have never driven in snow and have spun out of control over a bridge and died. Hopefully, I will be able to post again though. Hopefully! If not, it's been fun! *crossing fingas*

  14. lol

    I love drivin in it

you just gotta know how to brake. :)

    nothin beats engine braking+normal braking+ebraking. :D

    a recommendation

never EVER use your ebrake on snow unless you are the only one around

one wrong turn, or if you don't know how to disengage it quickly to regain control on snow, and you could easily end up killing yourself, or many around you.

I'll admit it. I'm not the best driver out there, nor the smartest one, but I do know when, where, and how to drive my car properly when it comes to snow conditions.

  15. and how to turn in it.

I can not imply enough.. if you drive a frontwheel drive car... dear god, be careful.

    understeer is attrocious on them..

when in an understeer problem, the worst thing you can do is brake.

    dear god don't brake hard

shift to neutral with mild braking

    ....

or in dire needs, ebrake causing the rear to swing instead of the front <--- that's what I do on snow

on rear wheel, just give more gas and fishtail around a corner. :)

Most people just drive slow.. and leave the E-brake for parking Asmo ;)

  17. Yeah, no shit.

And oh yeah, if you start losing the back end, don't slam on brakes and crank the wheel around the turn, instead, lay off the brake and accelerator and turn into the skid, you know try and "catch up with your ass".

Now if anyone needs anymore common sense information I will happily provide it.

I must say that driving in snow doesn't really phase me, we get lots of snow in Wisconsin (well except this year :| ). I got my learners in the middle of January, so I started learning to drive in snow.

Snow aint bad, I had to drive back to Dayton 2 years ago on about 6 inches of ice the hole way. It was the year they closed 65 cause of ice, they decided to let us through the next morning, drove all the way to dayton at 30-40mph on a sheet of ice, everytime you touched the brake you lost the back end of your car, worst drive I ever had, must have been a hundred cars in the ditch, after that things were pretty much cake. :p

Yea driving in the snow doesent really phase me either. I stay away from too much showboating ;)

Course my new truck is not meant for snow.. I step on the gas when its raining and fishtail
