Some cool vids of Flight Sims

Flight Sims are awesome.

I used to do the old MS Flight Sim back in 98-99. At that time there were virtual airlines where you get tested and if you pass, then you become a virtual pilot. You tell them when you are available and they set you up with a flight to take "passengers" where ever, depending on how much time you have.

Not sure if they speed up the time or not, because flying from say NY to CA would take awhile. And international flights...well...

I never tried it though...always had a problem landing the big passenger jets.

May have to get another flight sim again.

 

I played a couple of the flight sim games. I'm pretty sure everything is real time. A flight from NY to LA would take roughly 5 hours to complete. There was a time compression option that allowed you to go fast enough that a dive from 30,000 feet would end in the blink of an eye though.

Good times... I remember I actually did a flight from LA to Japan. Got extremely bored though and kicked time compression up to the point that I was in Japan in an hour
