  6. Well, this could be because the judge was (is) faking it, (which seems a bit unlikely)
    or
it could be because...Miller is now owned by some South African Company.

  7. or it could be because the plant was in Texas

What joo got against South Africa you wanker?

Or maybe it's really some secret government agency made up of super mice, and one of the mice got in the way of the agency's plan and was disposed of in the miller factory.

  9. Intersting. On the SAB website I found a list of owned brands. Included was:

    Leinenkugel's Amber Light
    Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss
    Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock
    Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark
    Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss
    Leinenkugel's Northwoods Lager
    Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest
    Leinenkugel's Original Premium
    Leinenkugel's Red Lager

Never knew Miller owned Leinies until now.

  10. Yup. Sad but true. Lenies was bought out by Miller two years ago (I think). I was despondant (to say the least) but willing to "stay the course".
    But now...

(sigh) I am truly in a quandry. I've even resorted to purchasing Killian's Red more often now.

  11. Why don't you want to drink Miller simply because it is owned by an out of country company? All the jobs are still here. Not like they bought Miller, closed all the plants, and shipped production to India.

I mean practically nothing is made in this country any more. Why would you not want to buy beer that is brewed here by people who work here simply because the parent company is elsewhere.

Besides, SAB is one of few worldwide successful companies in South Africa and they sure need all the help they can get. Although, I think they're incorporated in London or some crap now :(

Anywho, hopefully they can turn Miller around, they've been sliding downhill for a while now.

  12. You raise a good point. However, a part of me cringes that the profits are no longer here. Owned here or forgein, it could possibily aid in strengthening the American economy - however, it's a 'personal' thing for me. (Hey...now that I think about it - Summit is brewed right here in St. Paul and is a good beer as well. I've been a BIG fan of their IPA and Winter.)

And their commercials are not helping any from my perspective.
