    Paladin can actually see this from his house once it gets up abit, i remember seeing it Years ago. Would been cool for the Rally too see.

    Well last year we almost saw a launch. Not any Space Shuttle. I think a sattellite was scheduled to lift off that weekend, but for some reason was scrubbed.

    The shuttle was actually scheduled to go up around the time we were there, but was pushed back till now a month or so before the Rally :(

    I was actually fortunete enuf to see a launch from Orlando years ago - we were all outside looking for it, watching the tv thru the window. Thought we saw a smoke trail which was it when someone yelled "OMG there is is" - turned around to see not only an huge smoke trail, but visable flames, about the size of a decent bic lighter flame held at arms distance, in the eastern sky. Pretty amazing from 50 or so miles away. Wish I could have been on the coast to see it, but that was a decent second best for actually seeing a launch in person.
