This "pet" has recently come to my attention. Someone's brother at work bought one at a flea market.

Seems they are rather popular, though.

Personally, I don't like the idea, as it is a nocturnal animal, and not meant to be a pet. But then, we humans think anything cute and furry can be a pet. Or whatever we can capture and say is a pet.

I kinda got pissed though, when this person brought this little creature into our work IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.

Sugar Gliders, as I have said, are nocturnal so they have very large eyes. Probably not good for them.

I checked the internet for Sugar Gliders. Apparently many people have them.

So I figured, if you are going to own one (they recommend two, as they are a communal creature and will probably die if kept alone) please research them before getting them.

Here is a place to start. http://www.skinhorse.net/gliders/

Some may say "Well, you are now advocating getting these things". Not at all. I'm just trying to help the little critters out by giving information to those humans who feel they need something like this.

Although they are quite adorable, they are even more adorable in their natural habitat.

Just something I wanted to pass along. I feel sorry for the little creatures out there now confined to cages, just so humans can say "Look what I have".

I know, it has been going on for who knows how long...getting that exotic creature. So I posted how to make it a bit better for these little guys if they must be prisoners of some human.
