SVCD - Help

    Looking for a step by step, single solution to make SVCD with CD-R.. Prefer freeware package (all in one) or just a few freeware packages to get the job done. Anyone have any links?

    http://vcdhelp.com is lame. Too much crap and none of it is listed in any usable format.

    I basically just want some type of guide that says: OK, start with this, install this, do this, and burn with this and then it plays like this... If you know any good resource let me know thx.

    Unfortunitely I've never seen anything as easy as "do this, this, and this and you'll have a good copy". I've tried it with some success. You have to do a lot of toying around to get a good quality/compression ratio.

    Nero works well for burning svcds but you need to encode it correctly first and Nero sucks at encoding. Get on my ftp (info in general clan discussion forum) and download TMPGEnc. It's a video encoder. Be prepared to leave it running for several hours for a large file. Find me in IRC for help doing it if needed.

    I believe the path is Video -> Video Apps on the ftp.
