    Okay my wife and I are currently paying off some bills and I am about to come into a lot of money very soon. About a $1100 and if we focused this money on some bills we could knock them out pretty fast.     Someone please tell me I'm stupid or detour me. I can't stop looking and I'm affriad I'll bid on it. Then my wife might findout that I came into a lot of money and kill me. Sigh... Robotech/Macross has this effect on me. :(

    If you buy the Transformer, your wife will hold a grudge against you forever, and when the divorce papers come she will say it's all becuase you wasted all the money on toys, and she just can't live like that.

    So think about it like this. Do you really want your child to grow up in a broken home just so you can look at a transformer?

    That is the most fucked up thing I have ever heard. If that was the case I would have divorced her a long time ago for wrecking my car. We see marriage like it should be seen. When you're married you are married! There's no backing out or divorce. This isn't like dating.. there is no reset button.

    I'm not mad or anything I just don't look to highly on divorce or people who get divorced. You do your children a great diservice and I believe it is selfish act. If she tells me not to get it I wont.

    Those who get divorced shouldn't have gotten married in the first place.

    I agree with you. Marriage should be forever.

    But don't you think buying the toy is a little selfish, rather then doing something that will help your family?

    Thats about as true as it gets.

    Some times people for whatever reason thought that they were meant to always be together, but they weren't. Why waste the rest of you life holding onto something that doesn't make you happy?

    Now children complicate the matter. All you can hope is that these things have been figured out before children arrive. But the fact of life is, shit happens.

    I'm married and I take that commitment very seriously, and I fully intend to be married to her the rest of my life. But that does not mean that I have unrealistic expectations about every committed relationship out there, some just don't work out.

    My mom gave my father the boot when I was like 8 months old or somthing. She didnt want me to be subjected to him heh. I havent seen him for 10 years now. So in some cases its better for the kid, and the couple. I am happy with her decicion :D

    I think it is ignorant for someone to stay in a marriage if they do not love the person they are with. I agree marriage is forever and should be thought of that way. But people make mistakes - if both people are unhappy why spend the rest of their lives being unhappy and possibly grow to hate each other.

    Or if they are getting physically, verbally or mentally abused I think the other has every right to leave the person. Marriage is a commitment made by two people. If one person is failing on their commitment the marriage is broke. You may be doing more damage to the kids by staying together then just making a amicable split.

    Just my thought. As for the divorce rate being at record high like it is - I think too many people look for the easy road. Which is to just divorce....
