Tell your worst/best just met someone story

    Second date with the future ex-Tusk.

    Her ex-husband was picking up their son and they got into a small argument. Nothing really major. Just the ol' "bring him back at 6, no I want to bring him back at 8" stuff.

    I feel really uncomfortable so I say "excuse me", stand up to go to the kitchen and let them hash it out.

    Her ex FREAKS out. His exact words were "WHOA! Hold on there. OK 6 is fine. No need for violence."

    At which point I realize that my actions were construed that I was about to wipe up the floor with him. So now I have to channel my inner neandertal. And act like I was indeed "standing up to throw down". So I stand there looking menacing as possible as they finish up the negotiations.

    He beats a retreat with the boy. (And had him back home at a quarter to 6)

    (I, being a guy, collect my 'reward' for chivalry. Then tell her what actually happened. Hey, I'm not stupid.)
