The Curse of Babylon

I wasn't sure whether or not to post this, but a friend in Austin; Arik Renee Avila of D7 Studios Inc, has just finished the filming of an independent film project called The Curse of Babylon (originally "Book of Babylon"). But as they are in the post-production and distribution phase of development, they still need money to get it to retail. You may ask what you get if you donate, which is why they established a page on IndieGOGO:

While donations to this page is closed, however, it explains what perks you can receive, which they will still honour if you email nicholle@d7.com, available via purchases through PayPal. I'm going to do the $250 donation for now, but also (hopefully) the private screening later on that which costs an additional $750 and lets people meet the cast/crew; provided there's time and I can get the money from a contract-job I've applied for.

Anyway you can read the page - their target is $20,000, so if a number of you can afford the $250/$1,000 donations, that will definitely help them earn the funds to show it at film festivals and seek distributors. There are also other products available from D7 Studios Inc if any of you are anime fans and enquire, since his company still partly works in that medium.
