I hate the Lakers. And the fact that friends of ours are from Minnesota (Litchfield to be specific) I am pulling for the Timberwolves.

Though I place Basketball at the bottom of the 4 major sports in this country I did see the final 2 minutes of last nights game. Nothing like handing the fate of a team to a guy who called a time out when there were no more time outs back in his days with Michigan.

  3. I was at the game! I loved that whole thing more than, well, alot of stuff lol.

  4. I don't watch basket ball not becuase I don't like it but out of all the sports I watch I scream the most at the TV with basket ball. I used to play the game a lot when I was a kid and being short I had a great out side shot. I worked hard to be good becuase of my hieght and it bugs me to no end to see some of the slackers in the pros.

Where you from Forsake? Or did you tell us I didn't see it?

    yeah

Not to disparage on your sport Racewiz, but it seems that the concept of "team" is severely lacking in a lot of players in the NBA. And I don't like watching a showboat. I didn't even like Federov when he first played in Detroit. Too flashy, and not enough grit and hard work. Give me 20 Steve Yzermans any day of the week.

People like Randy Moss get on my nerve so much....I'm just glad he plays for the ViQueens.

  6. Indeed. Almost everywhere you turn to in major sports you encounter the petulant attitude. That's why I don't wear any merchandise that sports a single player's name. I will wear a team jersey however.

I don't much like Basketball, but It's nice to see the home team do so well. And Kevin Garnett has gotten MVP 2 years in a row now. And thus far, even if it has gone to his head - he does not display the attitude that has become so rampant.

Kids look up to Athletes, and KG seems to know this and react accordingly. Randy Moss did a LOT of growing up recently and I’ve known/seen some very popular and ‘respected’ football players such as Emmit Smith and Reggie White, perform and say the dumbest things….
Hopefully KG doesn’t fall prey to the ‘glitz-n-glamour’.

    …I reckon we’ll see. ;)
