  1. Hello everyone,

I read this in the paper the otherday and wanted to share it with you.
The Tet offensive in Vietnam began the bloodiest month of the war. On a hill in the jungle called Little Ngok Tavak, a platoon of soldiers fought to a stand still the converging vietcong forces, the survivors were forced to retreat leaving their dead behind.
A Lance Corpral named Time Brown who survived the battle and the war, has spent the last 30 years petitioning congress to allow him to search for the remains of the men he fought beside on that dreadful day. He has met with the commanders of the vietcong forces at the time, and with everyone he could find that was involved. He had each of them draw maps, as to noone knew exactly where this little outpost was in this overgrown jungle. The government granted him money to fund this mission. He went on 3 ventures into the jungle and after excavating a few sites, the workers came upon the remains of American soldiers.
Many American soldiers have been MIA since the war but thanks to the continuing efforts of this man, 13 of them were tested with DNA and there bodies were buried with full honors. The families had closer to something that I will never begin to grasp.
I read this and couldnt help but feel grateful for the men and women who have fought and fight for our country and our beliefs.
With dedication like this man showed, how can we ever doubt the heroic actions that take place everyday, Tim Brown showed these attitides 30 years after the fact, he just wanted his friends home.

This is a true American Soldier,
never gave up, never call quits, and
fight for what you believe to be right.

I felt the need to share this, thank you all for your time,

as always good luck and happy hunting,

    See you on the battlefield,

    Koroc

Nice. I bet that guy is a Dragon Wolf. :)

  3. A shame the governments over there have stonewalled us for this long in returning our dead. It's little dignity for the families of those MIA but long overdue. I'll give the North Vietnamese government some credit but still hold a taste of disdain for the way they've acted thus far.

The true definition of a hero.

  5. As a soldier myself, this hits close to home.

I hope, and pray, that if this ever happened to myself or one of my buddies, that some one like this man would have the courage to continue on until we were brought home, not that I expect it to happen, but you never know.
