4th ID has this new system in hummers that allows you to do that. You can zoom on any location in the world as long as a satillite is within range and the sky is clear.

At what point was it made acceptable to shoot kids? Is nothing sacred anymore? Catch him and send him to camp X-Ray. There are far worse fates than death.

 

I hope they find this individual soon, I also hope that justice is swift and severe.

 

My Aunt lives in that Area. She works for the National Archives and has an office at both the Pentagon, and a nearby University (i can't remember the name though) so I really hope they get this jackass.

Well... I guess I am in worse shape than anyone else... I work in Wheaton MD, the first person killed by sniper was 3 blocks from where I work. all other shootings.. less than 10 miles range.
Everyday I go out to work and I wonder if I would ever be back, I am not the only one, at least all people I know from here think the same way.
Life is hard the way it normaly is but when some freak starts sniping people down for fun. believe me things have changed a lot around here. very sad... My buds at CoDx and TnP know already that if I stop contacting them in 2 days in a row is because I may never contact them again.
Let's just hope this person get's caught and the sniping stops.

Question is...how/why do people get their hands on such deadly tools that should not be outside of the military? This isn't a hunting rifle with a scope, this is a rifle meant to kill people. Not long ago I saw a website (I believe barrette or something) that freely sells M82 sniper rifles online, same process as buying a handgun. Why would one need an M82 sniper rifle? Hunting? It would blow the deer apart. I dunno, this is a situation that will be nearly impossible to catch whoever responsible without many more deaths...

all you whiners trying to blame the nra can stfu. Washington has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, and suprise suprise, it also has one of the highest crime rates.

This trend is followed by other nations, which have even stricter penalties for gun ownership, and even higher crime rates then dc.

Ask yourself this: When it is against the law to carry a weapon, who will carry weapons?

People that break the law.
The government security force.

Who does it leave out? Responsible law abiding citizens, the only people who would obey such a law.

Really its not difficult, Criminals BREAK THE LAW.

Make it against the law to break the law, see if that ends crime...



One thing is for sure though, this guy knows the people around him are not armed, so hes relatively safe. Hope that answers your question warchilde, they can't shoot back because its difficult in the extreme to come into possession of a firearm legally.

Er. The issue here is hardly the tool he is using. And he could very easily do the same thing with a hunting rifle.

you guys do realize that he is throwing around .223 ammo right? That's a 22 folks... the same caliber rifle that a lot of people buy their kids from Wal-Mart. It's not like he's got some hugely powerful sniper rifle... It could just be a hunting rifle with a scope that he's using.

Yeah, if he were using an actual snipers rifle, there would be no survivers, either he would hit, and they die, or he would miss, and they survive. A sniper rifle leaves no doubt.
