News: Timeframe for Star Citizen

    Basically it comes down to this schedule, as Chris Roberts says in the video Asp posted below:

    End of this year - Dogfighting Module
    We already knew about this one

    March/April 2014 - Planetside Module
    I assume that this will be where you can land your ship on a planet instead of in your hangar.

    June/July 2014 Shipboarding/FPS Module
    This will be where you'll be able to board ships in an attempt to steal cargo, capture a prisoner or capture the ship itself

    End of 2014 - Squadron 42 Alpha
    Squadron 42 is the single player campaign that will introduce you to the SC universe. As an added bonus you'll be able to bring in friends to fly your wing during the SP campaign. So think of it as a co-op game.

    Star Citizen will be released shortly after the Alpha is finished.

    Hmm, thanks for the time-frame break-down Sentrosi. That tells me the Planetside Module is released at just about the time my house is supposed to be livable. w00t!

    Now to procure some type of internet connection. :lol:

    Oh, and scrub, I am almost willing to agree with you. haha

    Actually the Planetside Module will be more testing the first-person combat on "lawless planets", funded just under a month ago; landing your ship on a planet was just the beginning.
