    Greetings Citizens,


    We’re getting ready to launch The Next Great Starship, a competition which will put talented designers and artists against each other to design a ship for Star Citizen… and we’re asking YOU to choose the ship!

    Please vote in the poll below to select a ship type for the contest. Do you want to see a fearsome gunship or stealthy recon craft? The Star Citizen team will take the ship class you decide and flesh it out for the contestants to build. Polls close Wednesday at midnight GMT, so get your vote in now!

    I voted for Mercantile Bulk Freighter, but it looks like Mercenary Gunship will win.

    I didn't vote at all; the Constellation is the only multi-purpose ship, so it's all that interests me.

    ummmmm, ok



    well I voted for the mercantile bulk transport as well, mainly for the fact that I thin there needs to be a more accessable dry goods or bulk transport that is not of alien tech.

    I voted for the stealth ship. There's already a wide variety of combat and transport craft. I'd like to see them add more special purpose stuff.

    My plans to submit my own multi-purpose vessel changed when I was building stuff for this job application, as those applying couldn't enter. However, I think there should be another one to provide some variety and, perhaps, be oriented towards groups like us wanting to be a corporation (i.e. opportunities for salvage, manufacturing or private security).

    As it stands though, I suppose Mercantile is good because there's only the Freelancer for that.
