    Yes, oh yes. I am going to install my T1/T2 bundle when I get home. Looking at the two movies that IGN had on their site for T:V....

    I am dying to get my hands on this game. Not Doom3, not HL2, T:V is the next game I'm getting.

    We still have quite some time before it comes out.

    All the elitist TW'ers will be beta testing and giving feedback tho, who knows what could come out of it.

    Yeah, I have a feeling that they will be working too much on single player and not enough on multiplayer, which will turn it into halo with jetpacks.

    But if someone can get me into beta, I may go a bit easier on it ;)

    Come on, at least give it a chance, just because its named tribes doesn't mean it has anything to do with tribes 2. I mean you are playing planetside, which is basically tribes with a monthly fee. At least the bases in tribes are actually different.

    Remember the big issues between T1 and T2. They were two totally different games. This caused a lot of problems with the T1 crowd because they went into T2 assuming it was a fancy T1. It wasn't... thus whining commenced.

    T:V is just that; T:V. So hopefully it will provide some fun and competition. We will have to let it stand on it's own merits. Just my view... :)

    There are no jetpacks, no skiing. Its more of a standard shooter.

    therefore = not tribes

    Really? No jetpacks? I thought I read somewhere that there were, well in that case, tribes 2 is clearly better. I mean you have different bases, jetpacks, your not stuck with one job, It's not made by SOE, you don't have to pay a monthly fee, and there is no stupid xpack that costs you $30 with basically nothing in it that is comming out in a month :D

    With tribes there arent 3000 people on a server.

    Whats the point of bashing PS in this thread? I run a damn fansite for the game, arguing with me about it wont get you anywhere :p

    The single player and mutliplayer aspects are being worked on by different people in different places, so they have their own team working on each. I have confidence that MP will come out just fine, with no complaints from me, although i'm sure some people will whine and complain until it becomes the same old game again.

    I've also heard there will be an open beta test at some point, so you won't have to be super lucky to get in.

    Yeah, it sounds a lot like Unreal tournament's single player, which basically is them calling it a "sport" and you just play games against computer teams.
