Well Met! Self Introduction and Application

Discussion in 'The Dragon Wolves Recruitment Forum' started by Turk, 9 Apr 2007.

  1. Hail All,

My name is Khan, and my ign is TURK. Also my nickname is Khanooo. Whichever you prefer. I was surfing through the LOTRO forums, ofcourse when the server is down, and came across a mature kinship thread where i found a link of CDL site. I have been surfing your forums, and reading things to understand the gaming style and nature of this group. And to my understanding, I believe it will fit me quite well.

    A little history about me...

I have been playing MMO's since Everquest came out. and i have tried almost every MMO after that, even if it is just for the first 20 levels or so. My long term MMO's have been Everquest, Final Fantasy XI, World of Warcraft, and Guild Wars. And i would like to add LOTRO into that list aswell. But for me to to be able to throughly enjoy a game, I require a very close knit and friendly Guild(or kinship as it is in LOTRO). I'm the type of person who enjoys every aspect of the game. or atleast try to indulge myself in each aspect and see if I like it or not. I usually tend to give alot of hours into a game. Currently giving 10+ hours a day into LOTRO.

I played Everquest for about 1 yr and a half, and tried out several other MMO's like Asheron's call, DAoC, RO and bunch more. Then I was strongly hung over to Final Fantasy XI and had 3 characters level 75, which included, a Summoner, WHM, and a Ninja. And then Blizzard dropped the WoW bomb onto us. I quickly went into WoW, in the beginning loved it. the Raids, pve instances, pvp servers, crafting, and questing. Everything was good, until i hit around 45 or so...then i had to GRIND. and after playing a grinding game such as FFXI, I did not want to get back into Grinding again. which made me halt my future expeditions into the WoW world. Out of nowhere, came Guild Wars and which i currently am still playing... been 2 years + ... Have done every aspect of the game...Also i am in a very well established Guild, called Leather Rebels [LR]. Currently i am co-leading the guild, which has come to be the leader of a full 9 Guild Alliance. We are strong in PvP since most of us have already done the PvE part. One thing i liked about Guild Wars was that no Grinding was necessary to reach the end game. but you get to Explore a whole new part of the game after reaching level 20. I also help out with the website, which any of you are welcome to visit at www.leatherrebels.com .

Anyways, that was a little too much, some might think. but I thought it would be a good idea, if some of you understood my background gaming experience. I am currently a pre-order player. I have 2 characters level 15; a hunter and a ministrel. Currently working on a Burglar. Also crafting on the side, as currently only a Master Apprentice Woodworker, i am hoping to soon Master the craft. Also i will be playing LOTRO through the pre order and into the live, until further notice. I wish to be a part of a family, rather than a kinship and in my opinion this group seems much more of a family than a bunch of close knit friends playing together ;)

Hopefully that has covered some or most of the application. Will wait patiently for the reply or you can contact me in game, on any of my characters...Turk or Turks. Thanks for reading a lengthy post, hope to hear the good news.

    Khan/Turk.

Wow. A very detailed introduction! I like that.

One question; if you were to join us, would you still be continuing to lead your other guild over in Guild Wars?

And Khan is a killer name. I'm quite fond of it (Kahn being my real name)

Yes indeed good luck, and great application! :D

The first steps in becoming a recruit is to check the Recruit FAQ (At the top of this forum) and request access to our Recruit Group so you can mingle with the other recruits and get more in game information :D

You can request access to the group here. Just click join group on the right (Next to DW Recruits) then click join group at the bottom. :D

    See you in game ;)

  6. About the Guild Wars situation, our guild is more of a family rather than position specified group. I dont actually lead as a person, we all lead the guild together. The discussions are based on the guild itself, rather than leaders or officers. Its just if or when it comes to authority and a sudden decision and our leader is not around, i am contacted. If you are worried about time issue, then i got Plenty of time, to spend and dedicate on LOTRO.

And about the Name, yes I am fond of it as well. You said your name is Kahn, are you Vietnamese ;) cuz usually or of however many people i know that are vietnamese, thats how they spell Khan.
