What a freaking week

We launched product reviews on our site and a new survey tool. Normally that would be stress city. OK it was stress city. This week, I can't say SQUAT about how rough it has been.

No matter how stressful I think it has been, my girlfriend had it worse.

She got a call last week.

Then she sent me an email. First an image though.

Let me set up that picture for you again. That is my girl, her friend Jana, and Jana's killer. I sent flowers to my girl and have been a rock for her. Pretty hard to relate to it, but I am doing what I can.

The funeral was Wednesday. I guess it went on for over 2 hours and had about 2,000 people at it. They haven't officially said what she died from, but it was closed casket and from what has been heard through the grapevine made veteran cops blanch.

The killer commited "suicide" in his cell after being caught. I felt strangely angry at that. I guess it is for the best not to have the family go through it, but I still wanted to see the guy answer for his crime.

I guess I can take some reassurance that sometimes, the system works amazingly well and they nail the perp even when he thinks he got away.

In the mean time, I need to chill some wine for when the gal pal gets here. Time to unwind.
