Salutations to Clan Draconus!

This message constitutes my application for recruitment into what I have been told is one of the best Guilds on Laughing Skull for Alliance characters.

I have been a member of two Guilds and seek one more in line of my idea of what a good Guild should be, specifically, one that actively supports its members and fosters a sense of “community”. It is also one that does not fill the Guild channel with constant noise, using foul language, about every little perceived ill. The are others, but I will not bore you with them all.

On to the application:

Real Name: Mike

Online Alias: “EvilSlayer” (lvl 44 Paladin) and an Alt character “Mulwar” (lvl 22 Rouge) Both Human (Alliance of course.)

Gaming History:

My history playing PC games dates back to the original Wolfenstien, when ID was known as “Apogee”. Ah the days of the 12 MHz 286.

I have played many “first person shooters”, such as Quake, Doom and Half Life in their various versions over the years. I have also been playing most of Blizzard’s games starting with the very first version of WarCraft. Diablo chewed up no small amount of my time. A side note: WoW is everything that Diablo should have been.

I have never played as part of a Clan before, but find the concept intriguing.

A Little About Myself:

I am 46 years old with two “children”, ages 22 and 19. My son, the 22 year old, also plays on Laughing Skull as a Nightelf Rouge, lvl 48. He is in Korea, so it gets a little hard to be online at the same time. That pesky 13 hour time difference seems to get in the way.

I am an IT type, so I get paid to do my “hobby” and have Program Management experience (which means that I am not supposed to know anything at all about what makes the various projects within the overall program work.)

Currently, I am a “jack of all trades” and do anything from server staging and Admin, LAN Admin, end user support (YUCK – can you say ID-10-T? Sure, I knew you could. ) I also do some coding of web apps using Cold Fusion (my favorite).

We are very big into Boating, and I will not be online at all on any weekend during the boating season. We literally live at the Marina EVERY weekend starting in the Spring and are out on the water during the day, weather permitting. I’m so nuts about this lifestyle that I started a message board just for it. The board has over 1400 members and many of them are active. The site gets over 12,000 unique visitor sessions a day, so there are LOTS of “lurkers”.

One of my many philosophies in life is that we work to live, not the other way around.

So there you have it. I await a response at such time as you re-instate new recruitment.

From the little I have read of this forum, your response was not only un-surprising, but expected. Guess you found the key to the cage lying around huh? Next time, they need to make sure it is on the hook well out of reach.
