Wow. I just got bitten by a dog.

Thing is, though it attacked with absolutely no provocation, i really feel sorry for the poor boy. He is a foster dog which we literally just got the other day, and i first met him today. Problem is, i came in late, and his eyesite is going. He let me in the house alright, but as i traveled from the bathroom (where i brushed my teeth) to the kitchen to get a drink, he decided that 5 feet of personal space wasnt enough for him and he came off of his dogbed at me. Got basically a nasty pinch off of him, four good grooves into the skin where he actually did break through a bit. Im just glad i was wearing jeans at the time... it gave the roughly 1/10 of a second i needed to get my leg out of the way so he didnt get a serious bite, and prevented what he did get from being a direct result of his mouth, just his teeth through the jeans.

Of course, what REALLY pisses me off is that i was nice and sleepy before that, looking at a good bedtime. Damnit.

 

Basset hound, purebred. Most bassets wouldnt hurt a fly, but this guy hasnt had quite so nice a life it seems.
