A Commentary.

Greetings all.
What can I saw that has not already been said? I can repeat it with different metaphors, but I think not.
I will state that many of the things I’ve read from EVERYONE posted I hold to heart. Dane, Mars, and even Dragon. Yes. I understand and agree.
Were you folks aware of the anguish the 12-man team went through? We are VERY tired of being treated as the JV team. As it stands, now, we (at least I do) still believe that upper echelons in the Base++ team still thinks of us that way. If Schrike hadn’t taken the initiative to form the “Laid-Back Faction” of -CDL- I never would have joined. I had been told by all that I’d be welcome anyway.
Not to the degree that it was a couple months ago, but to a lesser degree. I think mostly because attention is elsewhere. Time and again, we didn’t have a full team until the VERY LAST MINUTE. We owe some of you folks BIG for coming through for us. Most notably = DANE, ARG, HTS, & THRONE~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our matches were often during Practice and/or scrim dates for the other -CDL- team. This was a sore spot of contention. Hamma even posted that the needs of our matches were secondary to his practice schedule. We’ve played a 12-man match with 8 people. There more posts and comments. Some were rebuttals from us (Notice how I seem to be labeling? The ‘us’ and ‘you’ theme…? Dammit. I’m affected too. Sorry ‘bout that.) Anyway…one post in particular sent Oed, Schrike and I ballistic. However, we did not post to anyone directly or right away. (Anger is a grievance to be filed, but one must take care in the manner of the filing). We did file a complaint to Hamma and Mani via ICQ. And…we hung in there.
And I know what it’s like to get passionate over things. Especially games.
Believe me-I do.
And as for me? I’m not ready to quit. No, not just yet. And even if I do, I plan it being on MY TERMS and on GOOD TERMS. From the days of {DoB} till now.
To Mani’s original intent = It’s hard when it seems like a ‘few’ are spoiling it for the many. But this is when we need to shore up our D, and get solid. Once there, we can move forward.
I’ll be there.

(Sigh.) Personally, I think that this all stated when you were over @ my house. For all of you concerned - I bitched harshly to Dane about how many of the 12-man felt. He defended -CDL- and explained the issues (which I knew & understood, but I wanted to drive home my point). He put Mani and Hamma and -CDL- up on a pedestal with his words.
Drat. I think he took my words too closely to heart and let slip the words and beliefs that he told me. He began to see things from one side and not both. His pressure to keep a larger team was to aid and incorporate. He felt…neglected?

Well dammit - Don’t you give up on me like that Dane. From the days when you and I first met, you’ve never backed down from a fight in your life and you know it.
You’ve NEVER given up during a match before. Ever.
Don’t do it now. Take a break.

Actually we asked other nations to stop using their profesional players and start using amauter players. No one really wanted to do that so we got tired of it and put together the Dream Team. After wipping everyother country I think our point of "use amauters or we'll use our pros" was clearly understood.

As for Danes problem with Homi well.. what did you expect Dane? I mean come on.. they guy destroyed 3 T1 clans. (CoD, CoDx, and Weapons of no destruction WMD) The mere mention of his name invokes anger in the T1 players who knew him. Remember the flame wars where everyone told him off all the time?

As for this right here ....

I've seen some low blows in my time but I've never seen anything that low. As far as I knew he was with CDL for a long time and had something to say to Mani. I don't care if this is the CDL board you have no right to say something like that. You just showed the world what an asshole you really are.

I have some cause to insult you Homi. You ruined some good teams that were all about having fun and sticking together. BUT you were all about competition... you didn't care about anything else and you never have. Congratulations you will forever be known as the biggest asshole to ever be in the IX community.

Tell me if you ever go to a LAN party in Texas. I'll be there with one purpose.
