Can RIAA nab you through torrents?

Sounds like allmp3.com or wahtever that one that has been in the news lately.

 

this has more than just music. it has movies, pics, games, software, music of everything you can think of. Its really just a whole lot of newsgroups.

in any case to clear up two things...
You don't have to be a seeder to track connections to a torrent...in fact you don't even technically need to be a peer connected to a torrent you can send a request to the tracker for all peers (this includes seeders) without even so much as a bt client.
Secondly peergaurdian updates too infrequently to keep up with all the domains the differents orgs use not to mention the fact that you don't even need to be coming from a "domain", not to mention proxies and such.

 

It makes me feel better about myself.

 

I cant figure this out i signed up for it but i dont understand how to use it...

 

first off you need to have winrar not zip.

once you find what you are looking for in either the search or in the groups themselfs, you'll need to down load all the parts. IE: ????01.rar ????02.rar etc. Stick a check mark next to them. When you have them all check hit the button that says send to que. Down load that file unzip/rar it.

a short cut to that is if what your download has a par check, which will tell you if all the files you are looking for are there.

Then open the first rar file it will say either 00.rar or 01.rar. Combine the files and your done.

Music is much easier in the way you just click on the ones you want and download them. I use the search function alot. If you still have probs i'll meet you in ts and talk you threw a few things.

 

Yet another reason you should only download porn.

If you think using newsgroups is any less stealing than using any other method simply because you're paying for it, you're wrong. It's just like paying for a Pro edition of a peer to peer client. Sure, you're giving someone money, but if I pay the security guy at Best Buy $10 to look the other way while I walk out with some stuff, I'm still stealing it.

Newsgroups are a bit harder to use, which is why they haven't hit the mainstream of the war. But their time will come.

 

stealing is paying $50 for a game and finding out 15 mins after playing it, that is sucks.

Now that I make enough money to pay for games I almost always downlaod them first to see how they are. If they are good I'll go get them cause I want to do mp.

downloading movies, games, software isn't something that weighs heavly on my mind.
