  1. Having seen first hand what the county can do when there is an assult upon a child (a close family), it tends to make the child do what ever the parents say for fear of them being taken away from the parents. While this was a good thing for this family. The oldest son had an anger problem would hit and punch, his father had enough and slapped him hard enough to leave a mark. Of course the next day in school the oldest and his younger brother were taken and could not return home until their father had moved out. It took 4 months and several court hearings before he could return home. Now both boys behave, but they are both teens now and understand. But for a 4 year old, her family is her world good or bad. She now understands that if mommy gets mad at her for something, strangers are going to take her away. What do you think this does to her mental health? By no means am I forgiving the mother of the 4 year old, but if the rest of us would keep our minds, eyes and ears open before abuse gets to this point all these issues may be prevented.

  2. I just saw that for the first time. Personal reaction? I am half glad i wasnt there, because there is a 50/50 chance that she would have been dead within 10 seconds if i was within 50 yards of her. The 50% chance of her surviving is the chance that i would have been able to control myself in the 6 seconds it would have taken me to reach her.
