You guys may think you look like you're pissed off at each other, but from where I'm standing it looks like you're afraid of each other.

I wish we could all just stand back and take a look at ourselves. We don't have to fight. Respect each other's differences. Learn to work together. Stop with the cheap shots.

Here in the US we are free to be who we are...to worship or not, to have dark or light skin, to be rich or poor. All men (and women, damnit!!!) were created equal. This is one of the few countries in this world where we can be what we are without persecution.

Why the hell don't we celebrate this and embrace it? I don't understand.

In India 199 out of 200 abortions are female fetuses. I'm afraid to know the stats in China. We don't do this crap in the US.

I live in San Jose, California. This is what it looked like on Monday when the 5th collumn marched past my work...

From where I am standing it looks like you all don't have a fucking clue as to how this shit is really impacting America. When you look 100,000 screaming protesters in the face while trying to work your way through them so you can hopefully catch a bus home from work, only to find out that all transit has been shut down by the march and your stuck there right in the middle of it you'll be qualified to to talk about illeagle immigration. Untill then your just talking out your ass.

There is nothing that can be done about the ones that are here now, and they must be intergrated into society. The flip side of that is we need more then a fence, we need the Great Wall of China to stem the flow of new illeagles from coming in. It really is the only solution.

The country itself is fine. The problem exists with the colorless, cultureless mass of carbon that have nothing to show for their existence other than a handful of excuses, a deeply ingrained sense of self-pity, and a penchant for describing themselves as victims on a day to day basis.

Society has shifted to indulge racial and cultural hypochondriacs, rather than encouraging them to shut up and practively change their situation.

If some mexican jumps the border and starts from having nothing to running their own business, more power to them. They're a far better example of the American concept than the citizens by birth who bemoan the difficulties of life when the supermarket is out of their favorite yogurt.

I've heard two complaints about illegal immigration: First, the argument that dangerous people can also sneak across the border. This is likely a valid concern. The other involves them being a drain on welfare and other social programs. I read that citizens use those services at a greater rate than immigrants do (the example of a Mexican jumping the border and starting a business is apparently a common occurrence).

I wonder if a solution to the illegal immigration problem might be to streamline legal immigration to the point that sneaking across the border isn't worth the risk. What if it were easy to get in legally, but there is no access to social services unless you're a citizen? Just a thought...
