Ebonics is a black languge. They tried to have it made an official languge and force it to be tuaght to children in schools. It was known as "Jive" in the 70's.

I remember when they were trying to stick it into the school system. That was a joke. Especially to the culture I lived in. Middle Class white suburb.

I absolutely agree though about it just being another way to keep yourself down. Seriously, There is a sizable African American population in Britian and do they have some secret language that only they can speak.. Do they want to teach it in school? They don't. Its funny how funny America is sometimes.

To much division. Glad the whole ebonics thing never came to fruition. I am a pretty staunch replubican and I have some strong Democratic views also. I think anything that puts the bump on English as the prime language is seriously bad. Everyone who counts themselves as an American should understand and speak English fluently. Oh well, lots would disagree with me on that though. I have extreme political views Anyways, look at me. I aced Grammer in Highschool and did very well in the limited amount of English I took during college. Nothing past Freshman english.. I barely every speak correct english.. I never use correct sentence structure online. Only place I use that insane shit is in the work place.

I just don't believe in Ebonics, or having counties in certain areas with such a strong spanish population that spanish has turned into the prime language. Just learn English!
