The YZF600R is still a nice bike and would by seating arrangements be the same as an SV650S, so as far as comfort goes they would be an equal amount. Now power wise you would have an inline 4 motor (600R), compared to a V-Twin (SV650), so you gotta decide if you want the power on the interstate (HP), or in-town (torque), The Yamaha has the HP, and the Suzuki has the torque. I can honestly say in my experience I have ridden every japanese major manufactures bike from 2000 and up, and have ridden almost every older one. And you see what I am riding, the SV650 was cheaper, and I love the torque for holeshots when im running against something or when im in town and just stop light to stop light riding, whereas the inline 4 has the power for takeoffs but where it shines is the roll-on take off's on straightaways or on the highway, but when im on the highway im usually heading somewhere so I just tuck-in and ride, I dont worry about the top speed and top accelleration when im highway riding (most of the time).

So in conclusion if u can understand my gibberish, riding-handling-seating will all be fairly comperable between these models, and the difference would be the engine specs. But dont get me wrong each of them has about the same amount of power over-all, just they both have a little difference depending on how you do your riding.

  2. I see what you're saying. I'm still up in the air about it. I really like both of them. In the end, the gutteral rumble of the V-twin may win out ;)

Another plus to the SV is that it is fuel injected.
