Sterling wanted to make fun of the other game Developers, but then he realized that he was a game developer and would in turn be making fun of himself.

That's why he should have made fun of the games, and not the people that made it. Like for instance that Survivor Game. What a dumb concept. A Virtual Reality adaptation of a Reality based show is just such a ludicrious idea. I mean who's gonna buy that?

In you case Rayzer you could have made fun of the dorks that bought the cards, and not been making fun of yourself. It's the fact that they were dorks and you were cool that you could have made fun of.
