if you turn off all of the major settings the game runs fine. I have a 2.5ghz processor and 1 gig of ram and the game runs great except of course when I build 200 robots and move them across the map.

 

I dont know i had most settings down. Rez still 1280x1024. I will have to play with it I guess.

 

The only choppiness i've seen is on certain maps when I crank the speed up to 10x.

 

the game runs real smooth for me until I start getting to tech 3 stuff...usually around then i guess the ai has enough stuff on the map to slow it down...usually if I'm able to get a nuke out and clear some of the map, the game smooths out

taking all the settings down does pretty much reduce it for me, but not all

 

i wanted to try the sp skirmish mode (because i dont want to play online or sandbox anymore) but the crack doesnt seem to work for me... Is there one out for the new version? if so can anyone share plz ty

yeah...the beta harcore pwned my system...but hopefully the release will be better optimized and make it playable w/out me having to upgrade...which quite simply isn't happening for me any time soon

 

yeah...played the demo a handful of times...it definitely runs smoother for me than the beta version i had a hold of...no system lag or anything...but it does seem like they dumbed down the AI a good bit...I can pwn Hard AI w/no problem ...perhaps i'm not remembering correctly though...

haven't played the sp campaign bit on the demo...only skirmish

 

agreed here on all fronts.

I still will want to upgrade for it, but it's definitely a nice game as-is on my a64 3200+

I got a 2.6 800FSB 1Gig of Ram 256 card should I even bother? Perhapse someone with a similar system has played?

 

I have 2.5 with 533fsb, 1 gig ram, and a 256 card. It runs well enough with everything turned off. Dunno about multi player though.
