Rather, one states, 'This thread is finished' or 'Ce fil est fini.'

Reason being is that this thread is an impersonal noun, so we would use the 'il' (or 'it) present perfect conjugation of the verb 'finir.'

Wow Vong, when did you become an English Major?

 

Studied literature all thru high school and 3 years in college. Also, took 4 years in French. Spanish was full and French class had a lot of hotties.
