The Second Fastest Dieing Thread

Oh I beat this game years ago. I just thought I would reinstall it and play around. It's a great game.

I knew you could talk to most people.

I have the Official Strat Guide at home somewhere. I haven't played the game in years myself, but all this talk about it is really making me wish I had bought both 1 and 2 when I say them for $10 bucks the other day.

Did you play Fallout 1 MTX? The end of that one was a little unexpected.

 

No joke man. You save all these people from "The Master" and what do you get in return? They kick you out of the vault! At that part in the game I wish you could kill them all.

Fallout 2 has that cool feature that allows you to keep playing the game after you beat it.

About 2 years ago I saw fallout in babbages for $19. Then I saw a fallout 2 that came with fallout for "free" going for $21. I looked at the guy that worked there funny and questioned is pricing. I mean if the game comes "free" in the package than why did it cost more?

 

In Fallout 1, you don't save them from the Master, that's almost a side quest. You have to defeat that guy to get the stupid water chip.

I was surprised that they kicked him out of the vualt, but I was really happy when he shot the dude dead and then walked off into the sunset alone.

That was the original plot but after you get the waterchip the vault leader tells you about "the masters army" and needs you to check it out. So you end up having to fight the master. Don't believe me? Go play it again.

 

You may be right.

I just remember that there were vat's of liquid that would turn you into a Mutant and you had to stop te guy from making his Mutant army.

I think it is really cool how you can go back to that base in Fallout 2.


Fallout 2 is the greatest RPG of all time. You can do ANYTHING in that game. Total freedom kicks ass.

 

I have to agree with you there. Fallout is the greatest RPG game ever. Really too bad they screwed up the seires with Fallout Tatics. I played the demo version and wasn't all that excited.

Someone at Interplay thought it would be a lot of fun to get rid of the story line and just have you go around fighting people. What a dumb ass. It was the story that made the game.

One of my fav things in Fallout 2 was the little moive for the "G.E.C.K" I loved all that 1950's style propaganda about how lovely the furture would be.

That and the endless supply of water chips in Fallout 2. In the firstone all your looking for is one of the bastards, and in the second one, they are all over the place.

 

If you talk to the president in Fallout 2 he will explain to you how the water chips crisis was actually an experiment setup by the government. Also in fallout 2 there is a part where you find a portal and break the original vault 13's waterchip.

 

It's been a long time since I played.
