They cheered over the huge loss of life, over innocent men, women and children dying, over inflicting pain on our nation. They want us to live in fear.

The big difference here is you will be cheering because getting the people who did this to us means less chance of our children and ourselves being endangered by them. Getting these people will mean our families are a little bit safer. You respect life.

    Love ya, Schrike. :)

I have to agree with you Queen.

The question I have is how many of them are truely innocent? They are dancing in the streets and celebrating this atocity. They have warped the minds of their children into thinking that this is a moment they should cherish. That is just twisted and evil.

I am sure the U.S. will temper the sword of justice with mercy, but I hope they do not half ass this like they have everything el;se they have done in the last few years. Do more then just drop bombs. Go in, kick ass, and occupy the country!

Do you really think that the Germans or the Japanees would have been so passive over the last 50 years had we not totaly and completly dessimated them? This requires more then our normal slap on the wrist.

    I find this terribly disturbing.

    Eye for an Eye!!

I think Dragon said it best in the KM forum when he said "These people need to realize when their celebrating and prasing Allah, that they will soon be meeting him!"

NATO is expected to invoke the Mutual Defense portion of the treaty today... if they have not already done so. Big, BIG step. "You attack one, you attack all." That basically gives the US the backing of NATO to do whatever the hell they want, as long as the target is clearly identified.

Revenge (for lack of a better word at the moment) will indeed be served cold.

I was surprised to see so many Non NATO nations such as Russia come out and give there full support to the U.S. in what ever course of action we choose to take.

  14. Yes ... now that Russia has given us their full support, we have full access to the borders of Afganhistan...

It's only a matter of time before BinLaden is taken out...

  18. After seeing that list I think it finally hit home for me...so many lives lost in such a brutal way...nothing will ever be the same after this...I fear for the loss of some of our liberties, but in other ways I gladly welcome the loss of them in order to stop any other acts such as this from ever happening again, anywhere.

It is something that wrenches the heart of the world, and I for one mourn with the billions of other people that are mourning. To all the families that have lost friends, husbands, wives, and children, there are no words that can express the sadness in my heart. Words nor actions will ever be able to soothe the anger, fear, and utter dispair that has evolved from this tradegy.

We should not look upon the coming battle with anything but sadness for those we are going to bring to justice, for even though they destroyed our buildings, and killed our countrymen, we must realize that every single one of them is a human being.

These past few days have seen the best and worst of the human spirit...and I hope that history shall not repeat itself ever again, for I fear my heart would break from sadness, and myself and many others would cease to live as human beings.

I sincerely hope that the world learns a lesson from what has happened, and I hope we are all the wiser for it.

A TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES

This, from a Canadian newspaper, is worth sharing.

    America: The Good Neighbor.

Widespread but only partial news coverage was given
recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from
Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television
commentator. What follows is the full text of his
trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record:

"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the
Americans as the most generous and possibly the least
appreciated people on all the earth.

Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and
Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the
Americans who poured in billions of dollars and
forgave other billions in debts. None of these
countries is today paying even the interest on its
remaining debts to the United States.

When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956,
it was the Americans who propped it up, and their
reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets
of Paris. I was there. I saw it.

When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the
United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59
American communities were flattened by tornadoes.
    Nobody helped.

The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped
billions of dollars! into discouraged countries. Now
newspapers in those countries are writing about the
    decadent, warmongering Americans.

I'd like to see just one of those countries that
is gloating over the erosion of the United States
dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country
in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo
Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10?
If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the
International lines except Russia fly American Planes?

Why does no other land on earth even consider putting
a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese
technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German
    technocracy, and you get automobiles.

You talk about American technocracy, and you find
men on the moon -! not once, but several times -
    and safely home again.

You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs
right in the store window for everybody to look at.
Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded.
They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless
they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American
dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.

When the railways of France, Germany and India
were breaking down through age, it was the Americans
who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and
the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.

I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced
to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name
me even one time when someone else raced to the
Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside
help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one
Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get
kicked around. They will come out of this thing with
their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled
to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating
over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of
    those."

    Stand proud, America!

This is one of the best editorials that I have ever
read regarding the United States. It is nice that
one man realizes it. I only wish that the rest of the
world would realize it. We are always blamed for
everything and never even get a thank you for the
    things we do.

I would hope that each of you would send this to as many people as you can and emphasize that they
should send it to as many of their friends until this
letter is sent to every person on the web. I am just a
single American that has read this.

I SURE HOPE THAT A LOT MORE READ IT SOON.

    THrONe out...

My payers goto all the families in the NYC Washington DC area

Fox, here is how I feel. No mercy. NONE, we were not shown any, and we have been dealing with these people for years. Due time for some payback.. it will cost lives yes, that is sad. But it needs to happen. This was an attack against you, me, and every american.

The entire world is backing us, which is a monumental development, it is only a matter of time as arg has said before he is destroyed.
